Description (Last modified by kindlund)

Hi Darien,

I created the following directory:

vm/master using sudo

When I try to access the directory in VMware Server Console, I get the following message… This is just after the split into 2GB option.

Unable to complete wizard: Unable to create a new virtual machine:
Cannot open configuration file "/vm/master/master.vmx": Permission
denied.

Any suggestions?

Regards,

Devinder

Hi Darien

I managed to configure windows XP but i cant get an internet connection in windows as i had used NAT in VM Server Console. Should i be using Bridged instead.

Hi Devinder,

Okay, so for the first issue you mentioned, it looks like you need to chown the corresponding /vm/master directory, since it appears to be a permissions issue.

For the second issue, you need to download and install the Firewall VM next. Please follow the directions listed on the UserGuide, as they explain the order of operations.
